PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion in which primary particles of a slightly soluble organic compound or a water insoluble color material having a fine nanometer size are incorporated as columnar particles having a prescribed shape and to provide a method for manufacturing the dispersion, to provide a dispersion having high dispersion stability and shelf stability, capable of being stored for a long time maintaining desired performance and containing the columnar fine particles and to provide a manufacturing method for efficiently obtaining the dispersion.;SOLUTION: In the slightly soluble organic compound dispersion containing the fine particles of the slightly soluble organic compound, the columnar particles have an aspect ratio of 3 or more, 50 to 300 nm major axis length and ≤50 nm volume average particle diameter measured by dynamic light scattering measurement of 0.5 mass% liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
