METHOD FOR SPECIFYING POLYP COHORT WHICH IS GENERATION SOURCE OF JELLYFISH ADULT BODY BY USING ND4 GENE SECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifying a polyp cohort which is the generation source of a jellyfish adult body cohort attacking facilities in seashore in a high accuracy from a plurality of candidate polyp cohorts living in nearby ocean space.;SOLUTION: This method for specifying the polyp cohort which is the generation source of the jellyfish adult body cohort attacking the facilities in the sea shore from a plurality of candidate polyp cohorts living in the nearby ocean space comprises the following steps. The steps are: collecting a sample jellyfish adult body from the jellyfish adult body cohort attacking the facilities in the seashore; analyzing the genotypes of the sample jellyfish on the ND4 gene sector of mitochondria DNA; estimating the frequency of each of the genotypes in the attacking jellyfish adult body cohort; collecting sample polyps from the candidate polyp cohorts; analyzing the genotypes of the sample polyps on the above ND4 gene sector to estimate the frequencies of each of genotypes in each of the polyp cohorts; analyzing the resemblance of frequency of the genotype of the attacking jellyfish adult cohort with the frequencies of the genotypes of each of the polyp cohorts; and specifying the polyp cohort having the highest resemblance as the generation source.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
