PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact excitation arrangement for generating circularly polarized light in antenna, and to provide a manufacturing method of such the compact excitation arrangement.;SOLUTION: The compact excitation arrangement includes an orthomode transducer 21 of simplex two-way communication and branched wherein the orthomode transducer (OMT) is asymmetric and provided with a main waveguide having a square or circular section and a long axis ZZ', two branches are connected to the main waveguide through respective two parallel connecting slots, two connecting slots are formed in two orthogonal walls of the waveguide, two branches of the OMT are respectively connected to two waveguides 35, 36 of the coupler 40 branched unbalancedly, and the branched coupler 40 compensates electric field orthogonal noise components (δy, δx) generated by the asymmetry of the OMT 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
