PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more easily operable method of displaying a cross section in obtaining a section based on a landmark.;SOLUTION: A reference plane 14 is set in the three-dimensional image, and an upper limit line and a lower limit line are determined for setting the upper limit and lower limit of a vertical display position thereafter. Then, a reference arch line 15 along the tooth alignment is drawn in the cross-sectional image cut along the reference plane 14, and the outer arch line and inner arch line along the outside/inside of the reference arch line are automatically drawn. Then, the image within a concerned display area enclosed by the upper limit line, lower limit line, outer arch line and inner arch line is displayed as a three-dimensional image for specific display seen in the viewing direction parallel to the reference plane and from a view point at right angles to the reference arch line 15. Then, a desired section based on an anatomical reference point can be acquired by drawing an optionally selected line segment in the three-dimensional image for specific display.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
