PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep an operation of high performance and to prevent generation of vibration due reciprocation by easily adjusting phase difference between a power piston and a displacer piston, in a free piston type Stirling cycle machine.;SOLUTION: The power piston 1 is reciprocated by a first spring 5, and a mass body 7 is connected therewith through a reversing mechanism 8 to allow the mass body 7 to perform reciprocating motion of phase difference with the power piston 1 of 180°. The mass body 7 and the displacer piston 3 are connected by a second spring 9, and the displacer piston 3 is adjusted to reciprocate with phase lag of 90° with respect to the mass body 7. The phase difference between the power piston 1 and the displacer piston 3 becomes 90° as the optimum value, and an engine is operated in a state of high performance. Inertia forces of the power piston 1 and the mass body 7 are balanced, and the vibration due to the reciprocation is then reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
