PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for controlling the fluidized medium residence time of a fluidized layer gasification furnace in gasification equipment, capable of adjusting the residence time of the fluidized medium remaining in the gasification furnace separately from the temperature of the fluidized medium in the gasification furnace, and changing the gasification rate of a raw material thrown into the gasification furnace, i.e., a carbon conversion rate according to demand.;SOLUTION: The residence time of the fluidized medium in the gasification furnace 2 is controlled by introducing the fluidized medium to any of a plurality of fluidized medium-throwing-in ports 20a, 20b, 20c joined by taking a prescribed interval by facing from the end part of upstream side to down stream side in the flowing direction of the fluidized medium in longitudinal direction toward the gasification furnace 2, also introducing the raw material to the raw material-throwing-in ports 22a, 22b, 22c joined with prescribed positions in the longitudinal direction of the gasification furnace 2 corresponding to the above and taking out the fluidized medium from a fluidized medium-taking out port 24 joined at the end part of flowing directional down stream side in the longitudinal direction toward the gasification furnace 2 to introduce it to a combustion furnace 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
