PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of reducing the number of part items, or capable of reducing assembling manhours, while protecting the actuator itself. PSOLUTION: An actuator case is arranged on an opposite side surface of a butting surface, and has a breathing hole for communicating the actuator case inside with outside air. In this actuator 10 for a pipe length switching valve of an intake manifold 12, the breathing hole is arranged outside an annular seal surface in the butting surface so as to communicate up to the butting surface from the actuator case inside, and when the butting surface is butted against an end surface, the end surface forms a breathing clearance between a part and the end surface for arranging the breathing hole among the butting surface, while forming a cap means to the breathing hole.
