PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferentially connect a portable telephone n of a driver to an in-vehicle hands-free system 100 regardless of the situation of getting in a vehicle. PSOLUTION: This hands-free device has: a detection part 10 for detecting a vehicle signal input to a vehicle side at the start of vehicle operation; a selection part 20 for, when the vehicle signal is detected by the detection part 10, selecting a portable telephone n whose priority is the highest from among connectable portable telephones 1 to n by referring to priority information 21 associating the preliminarily prepared identifier of the portable terminal with the priority of radio connection with the hands-free system 100; and a connection part 30 for executing radio connection processing between the portable telephone n selected by the selection part 20 and the hands-free system 100. The hands-free system 100 is also provided with: an input device 40 including a microphone 41 and a touch panel 42; and an output device 50 including a speaker 51 and a display 52.
