PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a urgent departure device for a cargo handling line, for safely and quickly disconnecting a land cargo handling device from a cargo ship during handling solid bulk cargoes which produce combustible gas.;SOLUTION: The urgent departure device 1 for the cargo handling line includes an upper structure 10 having an upper connection member 13 on the lower side and connected to a carrying pipe 2, a lower structure 20 having a lower connection member 23 on the upper side for abutting on the upper connection member 13 and connected to the carrying pipe 3, a connection member 30 for connecting the upper connection member 13 to the lower connection member 14 in an abutting condition, a connecting/disconnecting mechanism for connecting/disconnecting the connection member 30, an upper on-off valve 14 provided in the upper structure 10, and a lower on-off valve 24 provided in the lower structure 20.
