PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation restoring method of bare land located in an area having restriction on materials transported in for the purpose of conservation in a gene level, or an area where materials and equipment, etc. are difficult to transport in, capable of forming a planting base only by using materials obtained in a peripheral area of the land to be planted, and the planting base protected from eroding and drying to thereby achieve good vegetation recovery of the bare land. PSOLUTION: According to the vegetation restoring method of the bare land, at least soil taken at the site 2 is stuck to the bare land 1, and thereafter pebbles or wood chips 3, 3, etc. are stuck to a surface of the soil 2 to cover the same.
