PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress enlargement of a table accompanied with increase in the number of input bits, and to alleviate the impact of a conversion error.;SOLUTION: The conversion error correction apparatus includes a conversion correction value memory where a bit pattern and a conversion correction value are associated and memorized. According to the conversion error correction method, a bit pattern for correction of a predetermined digit number is extracted from the higher order of an input value. A conversion correction value corresponding to a same bit pattern as the extracted bit pattern for correction is read out from the conversion correction value memory. A correction input value is computed by adding the inputted input value and the read-out conversion correction value. Bit patterns for determination of the second digit number at the high order of the input value and the correction input value are extracted, respectively. When two extracted bit patterns for determination are in agreement, the correction input value is outputted to a digital-to-analog converting apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
