PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fin member for heat exchanger having excellent hydrophilic property and reduced in the fear of generating the deterioration of a heat exchanging efficiency accompanied by the adhesion of condensed water while generating no problem in resistance to corrosion.;SOLUTION: The fin member for heat exchanger is constituted of a metallic substrate 1 consisting of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, a non-chromate type substrate layer 2 formed on the metallic substrate and produced by a reaction type substrate treating method and a hydrophilic film 3 formed on the substrate layer. The substrate layer 2 comprises Ti or Zr as an essential constituent and is formed of a reaction type substrate treating method wherein heated treating liquid is applied on the metallic substrate 1 and one part of the treating liquid layer is reacted with the metallic substrate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
