PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a belt loop sewing machine and the belt loop sewing machine, which can improve the finishing of a belt loop by shortening the length of a portion to be folded back at the end of the loop material, as much as possible.;SOLUTION: In a state where one end side of a loop material T is sewn to a sewn product body M and the other end side of the loop material T which is folded back wounded around a loop loosening means 25 at a first loosening position, is bent by entwining around a fork 24, a control means 19 controls to move the loop loosening means 25 at the first loosening position to a second loosening position in the direction of separating from the needle location so as to pull out an excessive portion in the other end side of the loop material T entwined around the fork 24, loosen the belt loop and at the same time shorten a portion to be folded back of the loop material T.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
