PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a failure report/notification resulting from a failure detected by memory patrol in a page cut off by an OS. PSOLUTION: A system for detecting memory patrol failure includes: a detection means which detects whether access to a page with a correctable failure is normal or not; a separation-off decision means which determines whether the page is the one separated by the OS or not on the basis of a detection result of the detection means; and an information means which reports/notifies a failure to an information processing device of a maintenance section and/or the OS. When the failure is occurred, the separation-off decision means makes a first decision to determine whether the page is a page already separated off by the OS or not, and a second decision whether the failure is a failure detected by memory patrol or not. If the page is a page already separated off by the OS and the failure is a failure detected by memory patrol, the information means inhibits the report and notification of the failure.
