PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld metal having excellent corrosion resistance in a different material welded joint between a ferritic stainless steel sheet and an austenitic stainless steel sheet, and to provide a method for evaluating its corrosion resistance. PSOLUTION: The weld metal for a dissimilar welded joint with stainless steel includes, by mass, 18 to 21% Cr, 0.1% Mo, 0.5% Cu, 0.03 to 0.25% Nb, 0.05% Ti and 0.04% N, and in which a difference between the minimum value of the Cr concentration on the ferritic phase side in the grain boundaries or in the vicinities of the grain boundaries and the Cr concentration of the ferritic phase in the mother phase is 10 mass%, and also, a difference between the minimum value of the Cr concentration on the austenitic phase side in the vicinities of the grain boundaries and the Cr concentration of the austenitic phase in the mother phase is 5 mass%. Also, the method for evaluating the corrosion resistance evaluates corrosion resistance by the difference between the minimum value of the Cr concentration on the ferritic phase side in the grain boundaries or in the vicinities of the grain boundaries and/or the difference between the minimum value of the Cr concentration on the austenitic phase side in the vicinities of the grain boundaries and the Cr concentration of the austenitic phase in the mother phase.
