PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new photoresponsive drug transporter that permits simple fixation of a drug, does not require a precise fixation method of the drug to a carrier, achieves drug release and activation in conformity with photoirradiation and can be applied to a wide range of drugs. PSOLUTION: The photoresponsive drug transporter comprises a fine particle represented by the general formula: A-X-Y-L [wherein A is a fine particle (carrier); X is a carrier-bonding group; Y is a photodecomposable group; and L is a drug-bonding functional group] and, bonded via a covalent bond in the following order to the surface thereof, the carrier bonding group, the photodecomposable group and the drug-bonding functional group. Bonding of a drug to the transporter forms the photoresponsive drug transporter with a drug, which is suitably employable to a drug delivery system (DDS) in medical fields.
