PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install to transmit compressive axial force to an earthquake-resisting stud before constructing the uppermost floor of a building structure.;SOLUTION: A member height P of a vibration control member is shorter than the inner size heights L of upper and lower beams 26A, 26B forming a floor 14 of the building structure 12. Therefore, when inter-layer deformation is caused in the floor 14, a shear deformation angle of a vibration control member 20 causing shear deformation becomes larger than an inter-layer deformation angle of the floor 14, so that tensile force (tensile axial force) is applied to the vibration control member 20. By this tensile axial force, the initial compressive axial force loaded on the vibration control member 20 is canceled. That is, even if the initial compressive axial force is loaded to the vibration control member 20, the initial compressive axial force is canceled by the tensile axial force produced by the shear deformation of the vibration control member not to lower the vibration energy absorbing performance of the vibration control member 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
