Colored ink composition and colored contact lenses using the same

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored ink composition containing a hiding agent which is free of photocatalysis and exhibits excellent dispersion property and superior hiding power in colored ink, and a colored contact lens using the same.;SOLUTION: The colored ink composition for colored contact lenses consists of at least a coloring agent, a colored layer forming material, and resin powder in three-dimensional mesh structure having a refractive index of ≥1.55 and a mean particle size of 0.1 to 5 μm. Further, this colored ink composition is such that the resin powder of three-dimensional mesh structure is thermosetting resin powder or styrene-divinylbenzene resin powder, and the colored contact lens has a colored ink layer formed of the colored ink composition on a base material contact lens surface. Consequently, the hiding agent of the colored ink composition exhibits excellent dispersion property in the colored ink, so its preparation is easy. Further, since organic powder which is free of photocatalysis is used as the hiding agent, a colored contact lens which has no effect on the lens base material is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
