PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevatable buddhist alter which can be set without hindering a daily living space and enables one to burn incense in various postures.;SOLUTION: An elevating mechanism 20 is fixed to a wall face A with anchor bolts, an the buddhist alter 11 is moved to a storage position near a ceiling and to a using position where the alter is usually used by driving of a motor 26. The buddhist alter 11 can be set even in the place where it is hard to set the same up to now because the buddhist alter 11 does not occupy the space when the same is in the storage position.
