Bidirectional optical transceiver using a flexible substrate

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bi-directional optical transceiver capable of inexpensively realizing the suppression of electric crosstalk between transmission and reception with a simple, easy, and flexible mounting method without increasing the number of components.;SOLUTION: A flexible substrate 60 is folded such that a conductive layer 61 on the surface is located outside, and opposite ends of the conductive layer are fixed to both surfaces of the surface and rear surface of a transmission differential signal line 53 of the packaging printed board 50. The conductive layer 61 of the flexible board 60 is connected to a reference potential terminal of the packaging printed board 50, and a differential signal line 64 of the flexible board 60 is connected to the transmission differential signal line 53 of the packaging printed board 50. Further, a terminal of an optical module 10 for transmission and reception on a transmission input side 15 is inserted into a signal line connecting hole 62 in the flexible board 60. Consequently, the differential signal line 64 of the flexible board 60 is connected to a terminal of the optical module 10 for transmission and reception on the transmission input side 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
