PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe branch part tightly stopping method which facilitates the tight stopping of a pipe branch part provided to a side of a fluid pipe and the releasing thereof and which can prevent damage to and the coming-off of a sealing material, and a pipe branch part tightly stopping device using the same.;SOLUTION: A plug member 2 comprising an engaging tool 21 having an a projection 21a on an outer periphery, an inner stopping tool 22 assembled so as to relatively move in an axial direction with respect to the engaging tool 21 and sealing materials 23 surrounding the inner stopping tool 22 axially in parallel, is inserted into a cylindrical pipe branch part 1a so that the projection 21a remains passed through the lacking part of an engaging wall 11 provided to the inner peripheral surface of the pipe branch part 1a. The engaging tool 21 is rotated to mate and engage the circumferential positions of the projection 21a and engaging wall 11 to each other so as to control the axial movement of the plug member 2. The sealing material 23 is compressed by relatively moving the inner stopping tool 22 in an axial direction with respect to the engaging tool 21, thereby sealing the gap between the plug member 2 and pipe branch part 1a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
