PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish compatibility between real-time photographing by a user and reduction in the size and cost of an apparatus, in an image-editing apparatus. PSOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a communication interface to be connected to a portable terminal device having a photographic function, a data communication processing unit 11 for conducting data communication with the portable terminal device via this communication interface, a user interface 16 for displaying the image data photographed with the portable terminal device in a moving image, a control unit 13 for obtaining still image data of a specified scene from the moving image displayed on the user interface 16, in response to the instructions of the user, and image editing unit 15 for applying image editing to the obtained still image, on the basis of the instructions of the user.
