PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent various kinds of equipment equipped in an oar or a floating body of an oceanographic observation buoy of a mooring type or a drift type from being robbed or broken by a pirate or the like, and to issue an alarm signal that a human body approaches to the buoy, using a satellite communication system, concretely saying, to make the approacher run away to prevent the theft and the like by providing a function for detecting automatically that the human body approaches to the buoy, to issue warning and to menace the approacher.;SOLUTION: This buoy is provided with the floating body 1, the oar 2 supported by the floating body to be projected to an upper side, an observation equipment 5 attached to an outside and an inside of the floating body or the oar, various kinds of equipment such as a transmitter, and a battery. An infrared passive type of human body detecting sensor 11 for detecting the approaching of the human body is equipped in a proper portion of the floating body or the oar, in the oceanographic observation buoy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
