PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for dentistry training and a model tooth for dentistry training suitable for acquiring cavity preparation technique using Er:YAG laser.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for dentistry training is composed of a base and two or more plates arranged on the surface of the base. Each plate is fixed to the base such that adjacent plates are substantially in close contact with each other, and the interface between adjacent plates is not cemented. The model tooth for dentistry training imitating the shape of a natural tooth is configured such that: at least the part of a crown is composed of two or more parts longitudinally divided at the position corresponding to the fissure of a natural tooth; each part is substantially in close contact with the adjacent part; and the interface between adjacent parts is not cemented at the position corresponding to the fissure of a natural tooth.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
