PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate and classify a face form of a person objectively. PSOLUTION: Partial regions in one-side cheek images of a plurality of persons to be tested are specified, and distances from a prescribed reference point are measured about a plurality of pixels contained in the regions, and variations in the form at the regions obtained by measuring the distances from the reference point are subjected to a frequency analysis, and low-frequency components are extracted from above frequency analyzed results by removing high-frequency components therefrom, and a plurality of data sets each being composed of a plurality of main components which make up the low-frequency components, are produced with respect to the plurality of persons to be tested, and the plurality of data sets whose distances are close to each other, are classified into two classes, and a value of zero point is given to the weighted center of one-side data sets, while a value of 100 point is given to that of the other side data sets, and point values are given to respective data sets in the two classes in accordance with distances of intersections of vertical lines from respective data positions and straight lines connecting the weighted centers, from the zero point or 100 point positions.
