PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting pad journal bearing mounted with a stepped seal tooth at an oil supply part disposed between bearing pads.;SOLUTION: The plurality of bearing pads are installed between an inner peripheral face of a bearing case and an outer peripheral face of a rotor, and the seal tooth is installed only at the oil supply part formed between the adjacent bearing pads to supply cooling lubricant. By removing the seal tooth from a bearing pad part, fluid frictional torque between the bearing and the rotor and metal temperature are reduced, such that reliability with respect to the bearing pads can be guaranteed and the performance of the bearing can be improved by reducing power loss.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
