PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow core photonic band gap fiber used in an optical fiber Sagnac interferometer including an optical fiber gyroscope, but not limited only thereto.;SOLUTION: A phase shift is brought to light propagated through an optical fiber by using the hollow core photonic band gap fiber, and rearward Rayleigh scattering and a Kerr effect estimated to generate an error in an output of the interferometer are reduced as a result thereof. This sensor is used in the field of electric communication application in the present, the optical fiber interferometer is driven using a narrow-band light source such as a semiconductor laser for increasing stability of a wavelength, and using a wide-band light source.
