PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel iridium-platinum complex which enables the synthesis of an iridium-platinum cluster having a controlled cluster size and a controlled alloy composition, and its manufacturing method.;SOLUTION: The iridium-platinum complex is represented by formula (I) (wherein Cp^* is a pentamethylcyclopentadienyl ligand or the like; X is hydrogen or a substituent such as bromine and an organic group arranged at the ortho, meta or para position or a combination thereof of a phenyl group; and Y is a methyl group or the like), and its manufacturing method is also disclosed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
