PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly isolate the subject microorganisms (EPA-productive bacteria) viable at ≥30°C and having the ability to carry out biosynthesis of eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA). ;SOLUTION: This new microorganism belongs to the genus Shewanella and be capable of producing EPA; wherein the upper limit of the production temperature is 32°C.
