PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure recovery system and a method of an image forming apparatus that predict a fault occurring in the image forming apparatus based on the use situation of the image forming apparatus and present the effective handling information to a user. PSOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 30-1 informs a server 20 of the use situation of the image forming apparatus 30-1 and fault occurrence thereof. The server 20 accumulates and manages the use situation and fault information of the informed image forming apparatus 30-1, and predicts a fault occurring in the image forming apparatus 30-1 based on the use situation and fault information of the image forming apparatus 30-1 that accumulates and manages them.
