PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel tungsten oxide-containing titanium oxide sol for forming tungsten oxide-containing titanium oxide transparent film at a low temperature with only one step, a method of manufacturing the same and a transparent coating agent using the same.;SOLUTION: The tungsten oxide-containing titanium oxide sol exhibits b2-b10 when the index of color quality of reflected color before irradiation with ultraviolet ligh is expressed by (b1) and the index of color quality of reflected color after the irradiation is expressed by (b2). The method of manufacturing the tungsten oxide-containing titanium oxide sol is carried out by heat-treating a solution containing titanic acid gel obtained by the decomposition of a water soluble titanium salt, ammonia in the ratio of NH₃/TiO₂(molar ratio)=0.05-0.5, a tungsten compound in the ratio of WO₃/TiO₂(molar ratio)=0.0003-0.070 at 100-160°C.
