PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing to the end part of a printing paper without allowing ink droplet to impact on a platen.;SOLUTION: A region R delivering ink droplets for forming an image is set across the end of the printing paper P. Individual pixels of the outer upper end part Rfp set across the upper end Pf are recorded only by a nozzle opposing a downstream side channel part of the platen. In addition, the inner upper end part Rfq positioned on the downstream side of the outer upper end part Rfp is recorded only by the nozzle opposing the downstream side channel part. When dots are recorded, and even when the printing paper P is shifted from a position estimated, as far as the upper end of the printing paper P exists within the outer upper end part Rfp or the inner upper end part Rfq, there exists no possibility of making a margin on the end part of the printing paper, and allowing ink droplets to impact on the platen.
