PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erosion preventing material and an erosion preventing construction method for protecting a slope and achieving greening by maintaining erosion preventing function and anti-frost-heaving function of the earth for a long time by tight adhesion to the slope in a wrapping manner. PSOLUTION: The sheet 3 is made by mixing a plurality of kinds of fibers having different levels of decomposition rate. One of the kinds of fibers comprising the sheet has a water absorbing property, and the rate of decomposition is adjusted to have the erosion preventing function for at least half a year.
