PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the fastness to an ozone gas of a colored image, an ink composition giving a colored image or a colored material excellent in fastness, and an ink jet ink, etc.;SOLUTION: This method uses a compound having an oxidation potential higher than 1.0 V (vs SCE), a maximum absorption wavelength in the range of from 500 nm to 580 nm, and a half-value width of 150 nm or lower.
