PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting chaplet which supports a core as a mold constituting member or a casting constituting member cast in a casting such as a cylinder liner and further holds the position and posture of the supported core or member, to provide a casting method which uses the casting chaplet, facilitates the attachment work of the chaplet, can absorb the dimensional error of a space where the chaplet is arranged, and is versatile.;SOLUTION: Each casting chaplet 12 is composed of metallic foil in which a plurality of folds are almost parallel formed. Then, each casting chaplet 12 is placed between the cylinder liner 10 and each cooling water jacket core 11 and integrally assembled. Thereafter, they are arranged within the main mold for a cylinder block, and molten metal is poured into the mold to cast the cylinder block.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
