PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a temperature of a circuit breaker resistor and a necessary stand-by time without need of a sensor for directly measuring a temperature of a resistor of a resistor-fitted gas-insulation circuit breaker.;SOLUTION: The gas-insulation circuit breaker system includes a vessel 15 enclosing insulation gas, a main contact 2 switching a main circuit 6 inside the vessel 15, a resistance contact 3 connected in parallel with the main contact 2 inside the vessel 15, a resistor 4 connected in series with the resistance contact 3 inside the vessel 15 and connected in parallel with the main contact 2 together with the resistance contact 3, and a temperature sensor 16 for measuring a temperature around the resistor 4. The resistance contact 3 opens in a given time after the main contact 2 opens and closes within a given time when the main contact 2 closes. The temperature of the resistor is estimated based on a contact signal showing a timing of switching work of the main contact 2, a current signal showing a current of the main circuit 6, and a temperature signal output from the temperature sensor 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
