PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve tensile strength of a fiber reinforced composite material comprising metal reinforced fiber such as SiC fiber and titanium or titanium alloy. PSOLUTION: A sintering die 12 is charged with layers of SiC fiber and 64-Ti alloy powder as the sintering material 14, on which pressure is added in the X1 direction via an upper punch electrode 151, upper punch 131, and lower punch electrode 152 and lower punch 132 to compress the material, and a DC pulse current is applied between the upper punch electrode 151 and the lower punch electrode 152. In the ON period, discharge plasma is generated and high energy of the plasma is fast diffused in the sintering material 14 by thermal diffusion and electric field diffusion.
