PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method of manufacturing thin plate tempered glass particularly curved tempered glass having ≤2.5 mm thickness to obtain the tempered glass.;SOLUTION: In the manufacture of the thermally tempered glass by blowing collision jet jetted from a cooling nozzle to a glass plate, the pressure variation range ▵P of the collision jet is controlled to ≥0.1 MPa to ≤0.5 MPa. In the manufacturing method, the product (k) of the pressure P and the pressure variation range ▵P is ≥0.02 (MPa)² to ≤0.5 (MPa)², the collision jet is an under expansion jet, the pressure P of the collision jet is ≥0.1 MPa to ≤0.8 MPa and the diameter (d) of the cooling nozzle is ≥ψ1 mm to ≤ψ8 mm and the nozzle length L is ≥10 mm to ≤400 mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
