PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for producing a spun fiber from a staple fiber bundle, and installed with a fiber-conveying passage equipped with a fiber- guiding surface, and to overcom or minimize defects of conventional technology by improving the device in which the fiber-guiding surface is ended at an edge part for delivering the fiber.;SOLUTION: This fiber-treating machine is provided by guiding the fibers of the staple fiber bundle with the fiber-guiding surface 18 in a substantially flat arrangement constitution positioned side by side, and installing a direction- changing position 17 in the fiber-guiding surface for causing the directional change of the staple fiber bundle in such a way that the free fiber end parts of the fibers in the staple fiber bundle are raised.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
