PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for the stable rearing, breeding or preservation of rainbow trout to minimize the death of the fish by diseases without using chemicals and to provide rainbow trout having ensured safety as a food by using the method. PSOLUTION: The rearing, breeding or preservation of rainbow trout is carried out in a deep marine water collected from the layer deeper than 100 m. The salt content of the deep marine water is 30 psu and the temperature thereof is 13C. The fork length of the rainbow trout is 11 cm. The deep marine water is sucked from the depth of 200-1,200 m of the Bay of Suruga. The invention further provides the rainbow trout reared, bred or preserved by the above method.
