PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a well-arranged brush hair free from size variability by thermally forming a bundle of synthetic resin fibers into the shape of a flanged root with an almost columnar root part or inserting and firmly bonding the fiber bundle into an anchorage part with a flange and extending the flange part in the direction of brush hair. ;SOLUTION: The brush hair 1 is formed of synthetic resin fibers 4, and the synthetic resin material to be used is a polyamide resin, a polyolefin resin, a polyester resin or the like. The method for fixing a root part 2 is to thermally melt the end face of the synthetic resin fibers 4 using a heater or the like and integrally form the root part 2 and a flange part 3 in one piece. Further it is possible to form the brush filling in such a way that the flange part 3 is positioned extending in the brush filling direction without binding the fibers 4 of the part surrounded by the flange part 3 of the brush in one piece. In addition, in order to bond the fibers 4 and the root part 2 together more firmly, this bonding is achieved effectively by forming the root of the fibers 4 into a spindle shape at the welded part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
