PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a blood oxygen saturation degree by a remote measuring instrument or a hand held type instrument by controlling a measuring device by a controller unit so as to non-consecutively execute the measurement of the blood oxygen saturation degree. SOLUTION: A blood oxygen saturation degree (SpO2 ) measuring unit 5 is provided with an SpO2 measuring device 10 connected to an SpO1 sensor 20, a display unit or a display device 30, and a controller unit or a controller 40. The device 10 receives a measuring signal from the sensor 20, evaluates it and displays it by the unit 30. The controller unit 40 controls the power supply of the device 10 and the sensor 20, consequently the power consumption of the unit 5. At the time of applying a hand held type or remote measurement, the unit 5 receives the supply of power by a battery or an accumulator to non-consecutively perform SpO2 , measurement in an intermittent mode.
