Insulation degradation region diagnosis system and method for electric wire or cable

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a region in which the insulation in current flowing wires or cables is deteriorated. PSOLUTION: Resistance leakage current Ir of the cable 2 is detected by the clamping-type current transformer 13 and the AC cable ground point detector 4, and the insulation resistance R is measured. Such measurements of insulation resistance R are performed at proper position intervals, the results of these measurements are transmitted to the server 12. The correlation determination part 121 of the server 12 determines the correlation between the measurement point of the insulation resistance and the insulation resistance, the result of which is transmitted to the receiver 10 of the manager 11. From inclination of the insulation resistance R in such correlations, the insulation deteriorated region can be determined.
