PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of a steel shell element capable of being simplified by easily and securely connecting the stress members of the steel shell element to each other for direct transmission. The female joint part comprises a covering part 38 facing the end faces 28a and 34a of the stress member to each other while leaving a clearance 36 from the end face 28a of the stress member on the female joint part side and covering the projected part 32 of the male joint part. After the steel shell element is propelled for construction, the adjacent end faces of the stress member are welded to each other while leaving the clearance so as to connect them to each other.
