PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the easy and efficient discrimination of strawberry species. PSOLUTION: The method for the discrimination of strawberry species comprises the amplification of a nucleic acid genome DNA derived from strawberry by using a multiplex PCR method to use a plurality of primer pairs containing a random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) marker specifically found in cultured strawberry species or an amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) marker, and discriminating the species of the strawberry based on the band pattern of the obtained amplification product.
