PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed disk cache system which specifies an area where accesses to a disk are concentrated and caches the area. PSOLUTION: A packet analyzing apparatus 4 monitors a concentration level of input and output access from an access apparatus 3 to a disk device 11; specifies a data area to which the concentration level of input and output access exceeds a first threshold; and instructs a storage server 10 to cache the data area. The packet analyzing apparatus 4 monitors a concentration level of input and output access to a data area to which the data area is cached; and when the concentration level of input and output access goes below a second threshold, instructs the storage server 10 to release the caching.
