PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefying apparatus in which the disposal of residue in a thermal decomposition vessel is rapidly and precisely carried out, and which is safe and provides excellent operability. PSOLUTION: The liquefying apparatus for producing an oil by storing the thermal decomposition vessel 1 for thermally decomposing waste plastic or the like in a heating furnace 2, and cooling the generated decomposed gas is constituted as follows. An openable door body 32 is installed in a side wall of the heating furnace 2 to enable the thermal decomposition vessel 1 to be taken out by horizontal movement by opening the door body 32.
