PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new rope wrapping method for an elevator. ;SOLUTION: A temporary hoist 17 is mounted on an uppermost part of a hoistway 1, a movable sheave 13 of a counter weight 5 is suspended by a suspension tool 18, and a driving sheave 15 and fixed temporary sheaves 21 and 22 are mounted on a lowermost part. A wire drum 20 is rotatably mounted in a car frame 4, and one end of a fed-out rope 6 is wrapped between car sheaves 10 and 10, and fixed to the frame 4 by a grip 30 while remaining an end slack 6a. The frame 4 is raised, and the end slack 6a is wrapped on sheaves 16, 14 and 13, and fixed to the uppermost part by a dead end hitch 12. The rope between the sheaves 16 and 14 is wrapped on a sheave 33 used for temporarily mounting a machine and integrated with the frame 4, the grip 30 is demounted to lower the frame 4, the sheave 33 is demounted, the rope is wrapped on the sheave 15, the rope is raised after it is rewrapped on the sheaves 21 and 22, and the other end of the rope 6 is fixed through a wire grip.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
