PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playing data processor capable of automatically adding expression of a tendency exactly that a user intends, to music playing data.;SOLUTION: A mute pattern of one measure shown by (a) is selected and applied to music playing data shown by (b) for every measure. When the mute pattern is applied as it is, expression shown by (c) is obtained and the music playing data after being given the expression has proper expression in each measure, but the same pattern is repeated by measures and mechanical on the whole not to obtain proper expression. For the purpose, it is made possible to set the extent of randomness to control application to the mute pattern. Fig. (d) shows an example of an expression result when the extent of randomness is set to 25% (whereas complete randomness is 100%) and the expression result is different in mute position between a 1st measure and a 2nd measure, but its generation probability is 1/8 for every measure and the mute pattern is applied as it is in the majority (7/8).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
