PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the incorrect acknowledgement of an RFID tag resulting from simultaneous reading/writing of the information of a RFID tag except the above RFID tag which is the objective for reading/writing, even in a case when a plurality of pieces of small RFID tags are installed approximately.;SOLUTION: In the RFID reader/writer, an antenna coil is wound around the central part of a core, whose section has an E-shape, to concentrate magnetic field at a center by conducting high-frequency electric current to flow through the coil while a magnetic sheet is attached to the rear surface of the RFID tag opposed thereto. In this case, the diameter of central part of the E-shaped core is formed so as to be approximately same as the diameter of the antenna coil of the opposed RFID tag and the thickness of the peripheral part is thickened so that the area of the peripheral part becomes wider compared with the area of the central part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
